In memoriam
“We mourn the loss of our very own, Bud Estes. Bud worked for BTI for five decades from sales, to management into the corporate role. Bud’s most recent achievements were serving in the U.S. Senate since 2016. Bud devoted a lifetime to improving his community, his state, and the lives of numerous individuals who he came to know,” wrote BTI when making the announcement.

Jami Applegate is making a second stop at the Western Equipment Dealers Association, returning as the new manager of association and industry events.
As manager of association and industry events, Applegate, who previously worked in sales with the association’s Dealer Institute, will take over management of the Western Farm Show and also work with staff in planning association conferences and member events.
“My interest in the position comes from my 10 years of agriculture experiences,” said Applegate. “I love working in this industry and finding ways to help it succeed. Being the events manager, I will fulfill my passion of helping others while being challenged with building the events for the association. These things will keep me driving to provide the best opportunities and events for our members at the association.”
“We know Jami will bring a lot of enthusiasm to the role,” said WEDA CEO John Schmeiser. “Her knowledge of WEDA and our members will help her get off to a running start.”
Schmeiser said Applegate will also look into additional events where WEDA can assist its members in marketing their equipment.
