NAEDA hosted its fifth dealer demonstration in Canada to discuss current farm equipment technological capabilities as it relates to Right to Repair, the industry commitment to address repair issues and increase uptime, and to participate in an equipment demonstration to better understand how manufacturers, dealers and producers are working together to create solutions.
The event was hosted by Green Diamond Equipment (GDE), a 15-store John Deere and BRP dealership with locations across the Maritimes serving agriculture, residential, and recreational customers. John Reddin, CEO of GDE commented, “Today’s Right to Repair demonstration was an eye-opener for all stakeholders. It provided a deeper understanding of the invaluable technology and support that dealers offer to customers, highlighting the essential role they play in ensuring seamless and efficient service.”
The demo, held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, hosted producers, legislators, and industry stakeholders plus manufacturers, and dealers from various locations across the Maritimes. “The turnout of provincial MLA’s, key stakeholders like the PEI Federation of Agriculture, PEI Potatoes, the Farm Practice Review Board, Ag Sector Council, WCB Farm Safety Specialist and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and key Ministry staff was the perfect audience for this very important industry message,” said Larry Hertz, VP NAEDA Canada. Hertz added “We also appreciate the support of manufacturers in presenting our industry solutions to these key influencers”.
Eric Wareham, VP of Government Affairs commented, “The turnout was excellent with just the right number of key stakeholders, the team at Green Diamond did a fantastic job of hosting. Those attendees I spoke with said they left with a much better understanding of all the tools and technology that the industry has provided.”
