December 10, 2025 (Kansas City, MO) – The North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA) applauds the Trump administration for releasing new details outlining how direct payments to farmers will be administered in the months ahead. According to the official announcement, “the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will make $12 billion available in one-time bridge payments to American farmers in response to temporary trade market disruptions and increased production costs that are still impacting farmers.”

NAEDA welcomes the administration’s swift action and renewed commitment to supporting producers during a time of significant financial pressure. “We commend the administration for recognizing the hardships producers are facing and addressing them with much-needed relief,” said Brett Davis, CEO of NAEDA. “We look forward to continuing to work with the administration to support American producers and the farm equipment industry.”

The health of America’s farmers directly impacts the health of the equipment dealer network that supports them. This message has been a central theme of NAEDA’s advocacy efforts throughout the year. During NAEDA’s 2025 D.C. Fly-in, equipment dealers made the Farm Bill their top priority when meeting with lawmakers, emphasizing the urgent need for policies that stabilize and strengthen the agricultural economy.

While today’s announcement represents meaningful progress, NAEDA stresses that more work remains to ensure long-term stability for producers, equipment dealers, and the entire agricultural supply chain. The association will continue monitoring developments and will provide timely updates as additional information becomes available.
