Kubota Canada, Ltd. has received the North American Equipment Dealers Association’s 2022 Dealer’s Choice Award in the Full-Line Manufacturer category. “We consider this a great honor and would like to thank the NAEDA and our dealer network for selecting us,” says Yannick Montagano, President, Kubota Canada Ltd. “To have a great relationship with our dealers requires intentional focus and effort on both fronts. It’s extremely important to us and is something we take very seriously. It also has a direct impact on our overall customer experience, and we are grateful to be recognized.”

These awards, which are based on the NAEDA’s Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey, recognize manufacturers that are leading the industry in providing top-quality service, support, products and parts to dealers.

The team at Kubota Canada doesn’t see this award as a “win;” but more of a reflection of their ongoing work with their dealers, who they see as key partners in their business. An important element of that work is feedback and communication, including the opportunity for their dealers to be involved in their process development.

Additionally, the company uses the Dealer’s Survey results to help them make changes in the business. They meet internally to review the dealers’ feedback and find areas to build on for improvement. They also engage with their dealer advisory board and their dealer network as they work to identify key opportunities for change and growth. “We work with our dealers to provide them the service and the support they need so they can do what they do best—serve our customers in local markets,” says Montagano.

A Proactive Approach

With the pandemic putting pressure on supply chains throughout the industry, Kubota Canada relied on the strong relationships they have with their dealers, which have been built on mutual respect and cooperation, to help work through any outside business pressures. In addition, the company has been forward-looking. They recently completed the construction of a new training and distribution facility for the Canadian market. This will help them to serve the dealership network more efficiently, supporting dealers in their ongoing success.

The team at Kubota Canada sees this year’s award as a validation that they are continuing to do the right things with their dealer network. According to Montagano, they intend to maintain their No. 1 position in the survey in the coming year by “working closely with our dealers and continuing to build our business—together. Good communication, listening and action are key.”

In the end, Kubota Canada equates their success with their dealers’ success. “We try to make sure that it’s easy to do business with Kubota Canada,” says Montagano.

About the Awards

The NAEDA Dealer’s Choice Awards are based on the results from the annual NAEDA Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey, which received input from 2,200 dealer participants in all 50 states and 10 Canadian provinces to rate up to seven manufacturer lines they carry in 12 key business categories ranging from product quality to customer service. Manufacturers participating in the survey are classified in one of four different categories: full-line, short-line, tractor and outdoor power equipment.
