This year marks a significant milestone for Joanne Olson, who is celebrating her 25th work anniversary with our association.
Joanne first joined us in 1999 as an executive assistant, and over the years, her role has evolved in tandem with the needs of our organization and its members.
Currently, Joanne serves as our corporate secretary and managing editor for both of our association’s magazines: Equipment Dealer Magazine – U.S. and Equipment Dealer Magazine – Canada. Her leadership extends beyond editorial responsibilities; she is also the manager of our Canadian office located in Calgary, Alberta.
According to one of the association’s top managers, “Joey runs this ship like a cruise ship. All I have to do is wear the captain’s hat and say grace before dinner.”
Joanne’s diverse responsibilities highlight her versatility and dedication. She is instrumental in board governance, event planning, and organizing key events such as golf tournaments, board meetings, and conferences. Her skills extend to writing and editing articles for our magazines, providing copy editing for our corporate communications, and overseeing database management. Additionally, Joanne oversees the Canada Equipment Dealers Foundation Scholarship program, assists with billing and invoicing, addresses member requests, and provides her expertise wherever it’s needed.
Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her professional qualities—she is known for being organized, motivated, detail-oriented, respectful, personable, and consistently professional. Joanne values the relationships she has built with our dealers and industry partners, and her dedication to our community is evident in her daily work.
Beyond her professional achievements, Joanne is also the author of Grandpa’s Farm Colouring Book for children, a delightful resource available free of charge to our association members. This project underscores her creativity and her commitment to making a positive impact on our agricultural community.
Joanne Olson’s journey with us is a testament to her unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions. As we celebrate her 25 years with the association, we extend our deepest gratitude for her remarkable service and look forward to many more years of success together.
